The BPP Diner

Where the show continues

I mean, we understand if people have other obligations, etc. But I didn't want Trish (or Trey) thinking nobody was noticing the absence of Most videos. :-)

For that matter, there are no Who's got news posts either. So. It's fine if the interest in this place wanes, but we won't let it wane without pointing it out right?

*Raises hand* I notice!

Trish, I understand you have a life of your own, and we are all so grateful for the run you gave us. So, here is my Most from Google for today (I don't need to dedicate 100% at work to WORK, anyhow *wink*):

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20239771,00.html

There's a lot of entertainment news on the Most Emailed Google news. If you care, poor Angelina Jolie is a self-proclaimed "jet-lagged mom." After returning from her humanitarian trip to Afghanistan, Angelina found herself with 4 jet-lagged kids and two infants. The woman takes on a lot. That's the consensus.

Yeah. I miss The Most, but no one should feel obligated to do it.

I do not miss "Who's got". With the title always the same it was difficult to tell what was new. Plus I've got many sources for news.

I miss the Most because I enjoy it, and I assume Trish and Trey liked doing it. I also really miss the bookclub, and wonder where everyone went... I guess in the end, we do need direction. It can't be an anarchy after all. But I keep checking diligently. Planet money is a little fix. Sigh.

I, too, miss "The Most." Trish and Trey (no, not the song-and-dance team from the '20s) have done a great job with it, being both informative and entertaining - two reasons why I enjoyed listening to the BPP.

Lately, I've enjoyed some of NPR's podcasts, particularly "It's All Politics." Maybe NPR should add a podcast of "The Most."

Sorry about "The Most" and my complete absence. I got overwhelmed by my new job (set writer for "Weekend Today" show) and then felt too guilty to check in here. Welcome to my angsty world. Anyhoo, I'm not sure I'm ready to handle a daily obligation again right now.

Brushing my teeth is about the only daily obligation I can deal with.

Oh, it's hard enough just to get out of bed on time in the morning for me. ;-)

And I didn't want to make anyone feel guilty, totally never my point, ever (I hate that stuff). I just didn't want you guys thinking "Hey, I stopped doing that, and no one even said anything." So I made sure to say something. :-) I think everyone understands that many other obligations come first, and if such things here felt like obligations, that probably wasn't going to work out long-term anyway. No good if it's not fun.

I actually enjoyed "Who's got news" (so there David Wiley!). I liked this day in history and trying to see connections with the present, and I liked thinking about what news from France would be interesting for non-French...

We miss you, anyway, Tricia.
