It is really cold -24 degrees.

I filled in for Rachel Maddow. That was fun.
I straightened my hair. Temporary but I am liking it, so who knows.
Thursday went for drinks with BPP crew---left at 9pm with half of 'em , half in the bag.
Received a completed baby gift from April love, she showed it to me originally at the BPP farewell last summer. Sooo nice. Baby Viking hat.

I'll be the doting dad. Yay, Ike!!! Crawling is a big step, so to speak.
IIRC, the standing-up phase begins very shortly after crawling. Now is the time when childproofing stops being theoretical and starts being OMG serious business. The nice thing about it - once you do the first sweep of childproofing, your kid will let you know which areas you missed, which cords are still dangling, what breakable things are still within reach, etc. Kids are handy that way.
