Or so Rob asks...

It was fun while it lasted.

It is disappointing, but this group has seemed to fall to the side.

Eh, it's winding down. I don't think that was really to be unexpected. I'm sure it didn't help that we have collapsing economy and stuff like that to deal with.

I think some people have continued to follow others on Twitter, continued to follow what BPP alums are doing, etc. So in some ways a few things have held together, but this specific spot on the web may not be enough to hold everyone's interest now after time has passed.

I've been following people on Twitter and Tumblr and only visiting this site sporadically of late. . .

It's been a full year since BPP has been off the air. A lot has changed at NPR since then. It don't think many of us realized that the cancellation of BPP was a harbinger of things to come, both at NPR and in the general economy. My motivation to join and follow BPPDiner was fueled by my anger at NPR for canceling such a great show without giving it a chance to truly flourish like it was certainly destined to do. Now that so many other cuts have had to be made, again at both NPR and in the general economy, my anger has dissipated and with it my motivation to follow BPPDiner and the talent that migrated here from BPP.

I think NPR learned a little from the process of closing down BPP. The other shows that were canceled had a reasonable amount of time to run down and prepare the audience. I certainly haven't seen a "DaytoDayDiner" out there to help people cope like we needed this one.

RIP BPP (and BPPDiner). Thanks again for everything... I miss you all together.
