Kevin,

Yes, but haven't been there for years. As more US products became generally available, I stopped going there (for example, pancake mix is available in my supermarket... and I prefer to make my own from scratch anyway). And they're quite expensive.

But a possible source for ranch dressing... thanks for reminding me!

A little background on the "emergency bacon": my kids heard it on one of their DVDs (I think it was Lion King in the extras) Puumbaa mis-hearing "emergency beacon" for "emergency bacon." Ever since, when there's bacon in the house, it's emergency bacon. Stewart, lucky you. Time to start a discussion forum here on good local food finds.

HA! no - but that old architecture building was not the comfiest of spaces!!! But I believe as a rule - architecture school buildings are typically the worst on campus. Although UNM has now broken that rule.

Back to food - bacon is not allowed in our house - no matter how much it is loved by some - I cannot handle the lingering scent after it's cooked!!

@Nina: Ooh, were you going there when one of the giant window panes just spontaneously decided to fall out of an upper-story window and smash on the sidewalk? Somehow it always tickled me that that happened at the architecture school. The same way that a high school friend of mine got out of the architecture department at Texas Tech after her first year...because the architecture building was so cold and drafty.

@Ranger Susie: we have between 5 and 15 pounds of bacon in the downstairs freezer at all times. We get it from a farm out in Groton, MA that butchers and smokes their own pigs.
