'This is utter nonsense. Everyone picks and chooses. The Catholics have loads of rules beyond the big ten and there is no way a human could learn them all let alone follow them. It would take a robot in a funny collar to even come close. Furthermore every time you sin you are knowingly going against a church teaching, and let he who is without sin... The difference between an Orthodox Catholic and a Cafeteria Catholic is only a question of degree not of kind."

I respectfully disagree with the above statement.

It is not impossible to believe what the Church teaches, it is very possible. I agree that when we sin we "break a rule" if you will, but that doesn't mean we don't BELIEVE it. The so-called cafateria Catholic chooses NOT to believe something, they believe they haven't sinned. I think that is a strong difference. As for not wanting different opinions, I have gone out of my way to be open to them. My impression was that you were not, if I was wrong, I apologize, but it felt like you wanted me to leave because my views might be a little different than the "average" BPPer. Sorry if I misunderstood.

David, thanks for the advice, however, I believe I'll keep speaking my mind and in the end if nobody cares, that's fine too. I honestly didn't come with a plan, I just always loved the show and thought being a part of the community would be fun. I think that I would be unhappy with myself if I was less than truthful or less than honest in what I say and do. In the end I guess every opinion counts, even those that disagree with me.

Dave Wiley, not only did you make me look up a word I had forgotten, but you also gave me a good laugh. It's been so long since I studied Rene Descarte that I forgot what solipsism meant. And, yeah, at the end of the day, we are all full of crap, but we can be productive crap. Thank you, again.

A travelling poetry bag?
Yes. You can buy one of these at most big High Street travelling poetry bag shops.

I just woke the cat up laughing. I hope you're happy.

"My judgment says that if a hyperpowerful being chooses to represent themselves as god the wisest course of action is to believe them."

Ha! That's the best theology I've heard all day! Thanks for that. :-)

Anybody ever tell you you look a little like Hugh Laurie?
