April: It's weird, isn't it? Ning compresses movies in some way I haven't quite been able to figure out. I've tried setting the thumbnail prior to uploading, but Ning ignores it and chooses a frame a few seconds in, which is invariably me with my mouth open. Ah well.

If the microphone hissing continues, you may see the return of the goofy headset—it also has the advantage of my not having to abort takes when the bells (from the church on one side of my building) or the sirens (from the fire station on the other side of my building) start up suddenly. Every now and again, I've been lucky enough for that to happen during a photo cue, which lets me start again at that point and splice in the new video, but that's pretty rare—usually I have to get a clean take straight through or try again.

Ahh, don't sweat it! I'm just grateful you go through all the effort. By the way, do you ever wonder why the little video icon always shows you in mid-speech when you usually begin and end with such a nice smile?

I'm jus' sayin'.

Sorry that was so late today. In general it's getting really hard for me to put out the Most in the morning with my changed schedule, but today was just awful. I had these little bits of time in between other things, and though I had everything ready by 10am, every take I did had awful microphone hissing for part of it. It's a brand new microphone that had been working up to now, no clue what's wrong with it. Anyway, I kept having to run off to meetings and stuff, and then would do another take, listen to it, and find more hissing at some point or another. Didn't finally get a clean take until 5pm, gack.

Sorry folks...
